Does having children at a young age ruin maturation of that person?

I have noticed amongst my young friends with children, under age 22, that their maturity level is not appealing to me. They have a lot of drama over ridiculous things and say really immature things. Perhaps having children at a young age forces a person into parenting mode, not letting them further develop themselves. Maybe they are just stressed and getting it out of their system (the wrong way of course). Maybe a person furthering their education helps their maturity, I don't know. I'm not trying to judge, they are my friends. But it does bother me. What do you think?
