Money for college grad party?

This is a bit confusing. I never had a high school grad party because i had heart surgery my junior year and had to make up classes; so after senior year i did not get to walk and had to take summer classes. I just finished college and got my associate degree. I do plan on furthering my education in a year or so. I also have a 4 year old son. I have NEVER missed a birthday, holiday, baptism, communion, confirmatin, wedding shower or wedding, baby shower ect. And i ALWAYS give generously. My mom is throwing me a graduation party since i didnt have a high school one. I honestly dont know how much if any money i should expect? Any advise would be great!
