How can i get my dog to obey me.?

We are a family of seven kids and 2 parents. Im staying home for the summer holiday and would like to get to our family dog to obey me more. Im a 21 yr old boy. My sister of 18 is the main caretaker, since she walks it and such nad has trained it since it was a puppy. I playfight with it alot which he seems to enjoy and he always stops when i tell him, nothing rough. But when I want him to go inside the house or follow me, he doesnt do so. I never "win" when we playfight, i always "loose" by playing dead, which leads to licking in the face. The whole not following me inside is kind of problem when im the only one home and he doesnt obey me. (My summer will consist of working and looking after the house). The dog is a Golden Retriever / Poodle mix, a golden doodle and is abit less than 1 yr old. Thank you in advance for good answers.
