How is it in the US's vital national interest to invade Iran?

Iran sponsors terrorist all over the middle east. Iran has threatened not only Israel, but also the US, and many of it's neighboring states. Iran supplies Hezbollah and Hamas. You may recall the Iran/Iraq war. Iran is a threat to the region.
