Is this my fault this kid got bit?

I saw that Slow Bro posted about a dog bitting a child.This happend to me in real life.I have huge dogs from Great Danes,Mastiffs,and much more.I live in Alaska with only one other house next to mine.We live in front of a forest so i thought that know one would get hurt if i let my dogs out.So i asked my mom and she was like"Oh okay".I let my dogs out and they ran in and out of the forest playing happily.Im not sure what or how the toddler got out of his house but all i new was that my dog bit him and nocked him over.Its okay if any one thinks its my own stupid fault but,Its a forest and why would an adult let there child out?The police told my parents to keep my dogs tamed at all times.Was it my own fault or the people who let there child out not supervised.I live in Alaska were theres a forest in back of my house.Whos fault is it?Even though this happened some time ago i still wanna know.
