Period while on birth control? Urgently want answers, 10 pts?

It has never happened to me but I would definitely stop taking the pills and go visit my gynecologist to see what the problem is/was. I usually give the pills and my body a rest every couple years to get back to normal. I would go like 3 months or so without birth control, but definitely use a condom if you don't want to get preggo.
