Should Christians get tattoos?

Hi, I know this Q is always asked but, this is really bothering me, because i want one, bad. I have researched this, about what it says in the Bible, and polls about when people got tatoos. On this one poll most people got tattoos after they became christians, Do you think christians should, even if they glorify God, with the tattoos they get, i was thinking about a cross, or a verse. Because I would glorify God in my body and decorate my temple for the furthering of the kingdom. I just need opinions, this is really bothering me, because my very close friend justy got a cross, and he is kindave nervous about what people are gonna say.
