To all the parents of 16 year olds. should they have sleep overs with the opposite sex?

okay so im 16. i have a girlfriend who i have been dating for seven almost eight months, were kinda serious, i mean i know im only 16 but we really like each other you know? but anyway, she goes on a month long trip where she has no form of communication. when she comes back her family is going to a boat race far away, so she has no where to stay. they said it would be fine if she stayed with me. my dad (who i live with 90% of the time) said no he doesn't want me having sleep overs with the opposite sex. i was talking to my mom and she said she could go there for the four days till her family came home. so her parents and my mom said its okay. we had it all planned out. i told my dad so he didn't think i was hiding it from him. he went up in an outrage, he said absolutely not and refuses to let it happen. this has nothing to do with him though.. five weeks after she comes home she goes to boarding school till December.... i don't want to loose any opportunities to see her. as a parent would you allow the sleep over?
