Adopting vs. Purchasing?

If you think 350 is a lot you better pick another set of breeds. You will pay that in food in the first year and that's if you go cheap. Yes you can get a pet quality not breed standard for 500 but you are not going to find a reputable breeder selling even pet at that price. By rescue both these breeds have breed rescues and are foster based so you will know their temperament what they look like as adults. Any issues will be known up front. If you have never owned either of these breeds before you will be better off with one that has had some basic training and social skills. In other words you don't sound like you need to start off on the breed cold turkey plus a rescue would always be there to back you up and even take back. A breeder who only charges 500 is not likely to be that kind of breeder.
