Would you look down on me for dating an arab?

I've been talking to an arab guy for about seven months. I want to be with him but I'm not sure how other people will feel about it or if my dad will allow it. I'm white and three years younger than him. He's very handsome and we get along very well :). We talk on the phone every night for about an hour. We really like each other and he always makes me smile. But I don't know I have a weird feeling about it :/
